KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The top-4 teams in the Week 2 edition of the 2024 NAIA Men’s Cross Country National Coaches’ Poll remained the same from the previous iteration, but the same couldn’t be said for the rest of the top-25.

Milligan (Tenn.), The Master’s (Calif.), Saint Mary (Kan.) and College of Idaho all sit first, second, third, and fourth, respectively, in the most recent index released on Thursday by the NAIA National Office. The Buffs earned 19 of 21 possible first-place votes, while the Mustangs snagged the other two themselves.
Oklahoma City vaulted five spots from No. 10 to No. 5 thanks to its impressive performance at the Gans Creek Classic. The Stars, led by M-F Athletic National Athlete of the Week Evert Silva, placed higher at the meet than seven other top-25 programs, including No. 5 Cumberlands (Ky.), No. 6 Taylor (Ind.) and No. 7 Indiana Wesleyan.
Two other current top-10 squads saw their stock jump since Week 1: No. 7 Spring Arbor (Mich.) and No. 9 Lewis-Clark State (Idaho). The Cougars, who climbed ten spots, were fourth in Columbia, Missouri, behind NJCAA DI Iowa Western CC, Oklahoma City and NCAA DI Washburn. The Warriors, who improved four spots, placed ninth at the same meet and had a 27-second spread between their first and fifth scored runner.
