

2025 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field National Awards
NEW ORLEANS – National Athletes and Coaches of the Year for the 2025 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field season were announced on Monday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Member coaches voted on these honors following the conclusion of 2025 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships two weeks ago in Rochester, New York, but considered performances throughout the season when voting on these honors. Only USTFCCCA member programs are eligible for awards.
National Men's Coach of the Year

Josh Buchholtz was named the 2025 NCAA Division III Men’s Indoor Track & Field National Coach of the Year. Buchholtz, in his 17th year as Head Coach at UW-La Crosse, led the Eagles to the team title at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships, scoring a meet-record 84 points while winning four events – the 60 and 200 meters by Sam Blaskowski, 800 by Cael Schoemann and 5000 by Grant Matthai. UW-La Crosse also won the team title at the WIAC Indoor Championships, winning six events.
National Men's Track Athlete of the Year

Sam Blaskowski was named the 2025 NCAA Division III Men’s Indoor Track & Field National Track Athlete of the Year. Blaskowski, who hails from Oshkosh, Wisconsin, capped a record-breaking season by sweeping the short sprints at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships in Rochester, New York. He took down his own 60-meter meet record in the prelims with his 6.62 effort and then matched that in the final. Then, Blaskowski turned one lap in a season-leading 21.26 to win the 200 by 0.20 seconds. Earlier in the season, Blaskowski shattered his own NCAA DIII record in the 60 meters with his 6.60 in the prelims of the WIAC Indoor Championships. He ended the indoor season with four of the fastest marks in NCAA DIII history in that event.
National Women's Assistant Coach of the Year

Todd Linder was named the 2025 NCAA Division III Women’s Indoor Track & Field National Assistant Coach of the Year. Linder, throws coach for the national champion MIT Engineers, guided Alexis Boykin to national titles in the shot put and weight throw. Boykin recorded the second-best mark all-time in DIII in the weight throw, becoming the third woman to throw over 20 meters in the event.
National Women's Field Athlete of the Year

Alexis Boykin was named the 2025 NCAA Division III Women’s Indoor Track & Field National Field Athlete of the Year. Boykin, who hails from Clayton, Ohio, swept the throwing events at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships and capped an undefeated season against NCAA DIII competition. Her winning mark of PR 20.91m (68-7¼) in the weight throw was the second best effort in NCAA DIII history. All told, Boykin notched four of the top-eight marks in the NCAA DIII annals this season.
National Men's Field Athlete of the Year

Josuha Rivers was named the 2025 NCAA Division III Men’s Indoor Track & Field National Field Athlete of the Year. Rivers, who hails from Bolingbrook, Illinois, put a stamp on a sensational season with a meet-record victory in the long jump at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships in Rochester, New York. He soared 7.81m (25-7½) to obliterate a 26-year-old meet best. That was one of three marks of 7.81m or better this season, which included a massive 8.13m (26-8¼) effort to shatter the NCAA DIII record in the event back in early December.
National Men's Assistant Coach of the Year

Norman Tate was named the 2025 NCAA Division III Men’s Indoor Track & Field National Assistant Coach of the Year. Tate, in his 17th year as assistant coach at Rowan, coached ten Profs to earn All-America honors at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships – four as part of an unprecedented 1-2-4-5 finish in the 60-meter hurdles led by Jason Agyemang. That group of hurdlers have all-time DIII indoor rankings of No. 1, No. 3, No. =7 and No. =11, with Jamir Brown holding the national record at 7.72.
National Women's Coach of the Year

Julie Heyde was named the 2025 NCAA Division III Women’s Indoor Track & Field National Coach of the Year. Heyde, in her second year as Director of Track and Field and Cross Country at MIT, led the Engineers to its first-ever team title at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships. MIT scored 49 points in earning 12 individual All-American honors – led by shot put/weight threw champ Alexis Boykin – along with the distance medley relay.
National Women's Track Athlete of the Year

Lauren Jarrett was named the 2025 NCAA Division III Women’s Indoor Track & Field National Track Athlete of the Year. Jarrett, who hails from La Crosse, Wisconsin, rewrote the NCAA DIII all-time 60-meter list this season. The UW-La Crosse standout ended 2025 with seven of the ten fastest marks on the chart, including a pair of 7.29 efforts at the top. Jarrett went undefeated against NCAA DIII competition and swept the short sprints at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships that included a meet record and division-record tying 7.29 in the 60-meter prelims. Back in February, Jarrett finished sixth in the 60 at the USATF Indoor Championships.
