National Athletes of the Year in D-I Are Batty, Drouin, Hasay, Theisen
NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announces the National Athletes of the Year for the 2011 NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field season. Mile champion and distance medley relay anchor Miles Batty of BYU is the nation’s top male track athlete of the year. High jumper Derek Drouin of Indiana is the coaches’ pick for best male field athlete of the season. Oregon’s distance doubler Jordan Hasay won the women’s track athlete nod while fellow Duck Brianne Theisen is the nation’s field athlete of the year.
Division III USTFCCCA All-Americans Named For Indoor T&F
NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announces the 151 men and 135 women that earned USTFCCCA All-America distinctions for the 2011 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field season. A total of 336 awards will be given as a result of performances at the past weekend’s NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships in Columbus, Ohio.
USTFCCCA All-America Honors Handed Out to NCAA Division II
NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announces the 150 men and 138 women that earned USTFCCCA All-America distinctions for the 2011 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field season. A total of 351 awards will be given as a result of performances at the past weekend’s NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships in Albuquerque, N.M.
NCAA Division I Indoor Wrap and USTFCCCA All-America Awards Announced
NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announces the 267 men and 270 women that earned either first-team or second-team USTFCCCA All-America distinctions for the 2011 NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field season. A total of 642 awards will be given as a result of performances at the past weekend’s NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships in College Station, Texas. In addition, 46 individuals receive honorable mention for their participation in the championships.
