Cross Country Polls & Rankings
The Wolves enter the season as the top-ranked team following several strong performances already. Just this past weekend, reigning National Athlete of the Week Tiffany Lehmann led JJC to a third-place finish at the Heartland CC XC Invitational (Lehmann also placed third individually).
Westmoreland (Pa.) CC owns the No. 2 spot in Week 1, fresh off two consecutive victories. The Wolfpack won JUCO team titles at the Westmoreland Invitational as well as the Laker Strong Invitational so far this season. Brooke Bertovich was the top finisher at both meets.
Georgia Military College is expected to make a huge jump after finishing 10th at the NJCAA DIII meet last year. The now third-ranked Bulldogs last competed at their own Brickyard Invitational, where they won a close battle over Thomas University. GMC put two runners in the top-3 as Nicquellette Fazekas and Paige White finished second and third, respectively.
Lorain County (Ohio) CC rounds out the top-4 this week. The Commodores last competed on September 11, finishing runner-up at the Westmoreland Invitational.
