

2018 NCAA DIII Outdoor Track & Field All-Region Honorees
NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has announced its All-Region honorees for the 2018 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field season.

The top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each of the members of the region’s top-3 relay teams. The regions used for this award – Atlantic, Central, Great Lakes, Mideast, Midwest, New England, South/Southeast, West – match those used during the cross country and indoor track & field season.
On the men’s side, a total of 743 athletes from 192 programs earned 948 All-Region honors. Five programs had 19 or more All-Region selections with George Fox leading the way with 23 out of the West Region. Rowan was close behind with 22 out of the Atlantic Region, followed by North Central (Ill.) with 20 in the Midwest Region, while Christopher Newport and Mount Union each had 19 in the South/Southeast Region and Great Lakes Region, respectively.
On the women’s side, a total of 667 athletes from 184 programs earned 940 All-Region honors. Seven programs had 19 or more All-Region selections with SUNY Geneseo leading the way with 23 out of the Atlantic Region. Nebraska Wesleyan and Williams were close behind with 22 each out of the Central Region and New England Region, respectively. UW-Eau Claire had 21 out of the Midwest Region, followed by Emory with 20 out of the South/Southeast Region. George Fox and Whitworth, both of the West Region, had 19 each.

Only athletes from USTFCCCA member institutions are eligible for the award.
A number of these athletes will be competing at the 2018 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships set to take place this weekend in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
