NEW ORLEANS – We’re less than three weeks away from the 2021 NJCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships, set for May 7-8 in Edison, New Jersey.
This is a perfect time to check out the most recent NJCAA Division III Men’s Outdoor Track & Field National Rating Index, released on Wednesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Top-ranked College of DuPage remained No. 1 for the third week in a row. The Chaps own 26 national top-10 marks, including national leaders in the 400H (Timmy Szylak, 1:00.00), pole vault (Brendan Hill, 4.55m/14-11), triple jump (Ryan Calhoun, 12.63m/41-5¼) and both the 4×100 and 4×400 relays teams (45.22 and 3:35.44, respectively).
Mohawk Valley CC held steady at No. 2 thanks to a plethora of top marks. The Hawks have amassed 22 national top-10 marks this season, including 16 from this past weekend alone. Jason Januario is now a double national leader in the discus (39.31m/130-11) and hammer (36.51m/119-10), while Andy Hadasz owns three top-5 marks in the sprints.
Howard CC joined the National TFRI for the first time this season at No. 3. The Dragons hold 20 national top-10 marks, including seven national-leading efforts – of which, two athletes combined for six of them (Darryl Jefferies in the 100 and 200; Grant Bunyard in the 110H, long jump, javelin and decathlon).
Mineral Area College dropped one spot to No. 4, while Rowan-Gloucester CC slid one spot from No. 4 to No. 5.
