College of DuPage held steady at No. 1, followed by Howard CC at No. 2 and Mohawk Valley CC at No. 3. Neither the Chaps, nor the Dragons or Hawks added any national top-10 marks to their ledger this past weekend.
Fifth-ranked Rowan-Gloucester CC helped its cause with several big efforts. The Roadrunners, who slot in right behind No. 4 Mineral Area College, saw Hunter Batten notch the fifth-best javelin throw of the season at 39.38m (129-3), while Trevor Greene went for the sixth-best triple jump (12.09m/39-8) and seventh-best long jump (6.01m/19-8¼).
Sixth-ranked Suffolk County CC was the Best of the Rest, as it saw Austin Garske surge into the national lead in the 400H at 59.05. That was one of seven national top-10 marks the Sharks added or improved on their 2021 resume.
Here are the rest of the top-10 teams in Week 6: No. 7 St. Charles CC, No. 8 Finger Lakes CC, No. 9 Herkimer County CC and No. 10 Union County CC.
