Cross Country Polls & Rankings
The season’s final set of rankings left the top-4 unchanged, however, as the 2022 NJCAA Division III Cross Country Championships are just over a week away on Saturday, November 5 at Stanley Park in Westfield, Massachusetts.
That’s not the only action remaining – the top-6 programs have regional meets this weekend, with five concentrated in Regions IV and XVI.
Mineral Area (Mo.) CC is No. 1 for a third-straight week. They’ll prep for nationals at the Region XVI meet on Friday in Peculiar, Missouri, that also includes No. 6 St. Charles (Mo.) CC.
Holding down Nos. 2, 3 and 4 are the Illinois trio of College of DuPage, Joliet JC and Harper, respectively. Joliet is reigning national champion and DuPage opened the year as No. 1 in the rankings. All three are scheduled to square off for the first time since early-September at the Region IV Championships on Saturday at Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Moving up to No. 5 is Brookdale (N.J.) CC, climbing up for the fourth-straight week. The Jersey Blues – looking for their highest national finish since 2010, when they were sixth – are slated to compete Saturday at the Region XIX Championships in Wilmington, Delaware.
Rounding out the top-10 are No. 6 St. Charles (Mo.) CC, No. 7 SUNY Broome CC, No. 8 Lorain County (Ohio) CC, No. 9. Oxford (Ga.) and No. 10 Suffolk County (N.Y.) CC.
