Cross Country Polls & Rankings
Three top-10 teams will test themselves on the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course at the Pre-National Invitational on Friday night (Yes – Friday night): No. 3 UW-Whitewater, No. 5 Pomona-Pitzer and No. 10 George Fox. None of those teams raced at the John McNichols Invitational last month, so this will be their first – and only – look at the course that will host the upcoming NCAA DIII Cross Country Championships in November.
Then we’ll see a plethora of top-30 matchups on Saturday at the Paul Short Run in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, including a top-11 battle between No. 7 Johns Hopkins, No. 9 RPI and No. 11 Carnegie Mellon in the College Men’s Gold 8k. Eleven top-30 squads square off in the College Men’s White 8k, headlined by No. 6 NYU and No. 8 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, among others.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 23, because that’s when the 2024 NCAA DIII Cross Country Championships will be held at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course in Terre Haute, Indiana.
