NEW ORLEANS – It’s about to get fun.
Here is the newest edition of the NCAA DIII Women’s Cross Country National Coaches’ Poll, released on Tuesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). Few changes hit the top 30 this week, but that won’t last.

Twenty-six of the top 30 teams held their spots from the previous index.
The four teams that moved were Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, rising from No. 3 to tie Williams at No. 2, just behind top-ranked MIT; SUNY Geneseo from No. 11 to No. 12; and UW-Eau Claire and Central (Iowa) swapped places at No. 27 and No. 28.
CMS starred this past weekend at the UC Riverside Invitational. The Athenas finished a strong fifth in a top ten that was filled with NCAA DI and NCAA DII programs. M-F Athletic National Athlete of the Week Riley Capuano led the way individually for CMS in tenth place. All five scoring Athenas placed ahead of last year’s 21st place finisher at the NCAA Championships and they lowered their average time of the course from 21:21 to 20:59 since last year.
Who will stand out this weekend?
More than ten ranked teams could be in action at the Paul Short Run in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Both No. 1 MIT and No. 6 Johns Hopkins are entered in the College Female Gold 6k, which starts at 11:45 am ET on the Goodman Campus Cross Country Course. Then four more top-ten teams – No. 5 NYU, No. 7 Carnegie Mellon, No. 9 Amherst, and No. 10 Washington and Lee – will compete in the College Female White 6k, which starts at 1:15 pm ET.
Other meets of note include the Brissman/Lundeen Invitational, the Swags Louisville Cross Country Classic, the Blugold Invitational, as well as the Dan Huston Invitational.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 22, because that’s when the 2025 NCAA DIII Cross Country Championships will be held at the Roger Millikin Cross Country Course in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
