

2022 NCAA DI Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Rating Index – Week 8
NEW ORLEANS – Conference Championships Weekend did not disappoint.
Here is the newest installment of the 2022 NCAA Division I Women’s Outdoor Track & Field National Rating Index that was released by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Monday. Only marks from the current season are being used, which gives a comprehensive, objective look at which teams have stood out during the season.

Texas is the top-ranked team in the National TFRI for an eighth-straight week. The Longhorns added or improved eight national top-10 marks, including a pair of No. 2s from Julien Alfred and Kristine Blazevica in their respective events: Alfred ran 10.80 in the 100; Blazevica scored 6064 in the heptathlon. Alfred also moved to No. 3 on the all-time collegiate list in the 100 with her wind-legal 10.81 in the prelims. The Longhorn sprint contingent turned in a total of seven season best efforts across the 100, 200 and 400 meters that sit among the top-10 on the Descending Order List.
Florida climbed one spot to No. 2 to match its season-best billing. The Gators added six new or improved national top-10 marks to its ledger at the SEC Outdoor Championships, including an improved chart topper from Jasmine Moore in the triple jump (14.46m/47-5¼). Other Gators that shined this past weekend were Anna Hall in the 400H (No. 2, 54.91) and Imogen Barrett in the 800 (No. 4, 2:01.42).
Texas Tech soared three spots to No. 3 in Week 8. The Red Raiders added eight new or improved national top-10 efforts at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships, including a national-leading mark by Monae’ Nichols in the long jump (6.97m/22-10½). Demisha Roswell clocked the No. 2 time this season in the 100H (12.44), while Ruth Usoro posted a pair of top-5 efforts in the triple jump (No. 3, 13.94m/45-9) and long jump (No. 5, 6.78m/22-3).
Texas A&M dropped two spots to No. 4. The Aggies added two new or improved national top-10 performances at the SEC Outdoor Championships: Deshae Wise clocked 55.99 in the 400H to move to No. 5; the Aggies’ 4×400 relay went 3:22.01 to move to No. 2 on the Descending Order List and on the collegiate all-time chart.
LSU fell one spot to No. 5. The Tigers had four new or improved national top-10 marks at the SEC Outdoor Championships, including the third-fastest 4×100 relay of the season with their 42.59 clocking. Individually, the Tigers picked up a pair of No. 8 performances from Michaela Rose in the 800 (2:02.49) and Nyagoa Bayak in the high jump (1.86m/6-1¼).
Here are the rest of the top-10 teams in Week 8: No. 6 Arkansas (down one spot), No. 7 Kentucky (unchanged), No. 8 Oregon (up one spot), No. 9 Baylor (up two spots) and No. 10 Colorado (up 15 spots). The Buffs made the largest jump out of the group after adding three new or improved national top-10 marks at the Pac-12 Outdoor Championships, including a chart-topping time by Abby Nichols in the 10,000 (32:27.25).
