

2022 NCAA DI Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Rating Index – Week 10
NEW ORLEANS – All that’s left in the outdoor season is the grand finale at Hayward Field!
Here is the final release of the 2022 NCAA Division I Women’s Outdoor Track & Field National Rating Index before the start of the NCAA DI Outdoor Track & Field Championships next week in Eugene, Oregon. The only marks being used in this calculation of the National TFRI are those from athletes competing at the final site of the NCAA Championships.

Texas has been at the top of the National TFRI all season long and is expected to capture its first national title since 2005 in a big way over the rest of the field, according to the latest computer calculation. The Longhorns have 18 entries for the NCAA Championships in which 14 of them rank among the top-10 nationally. Julien Alfred is the top-seed in the 100 and part of their top-ranked 4×100 relay. The sprints/hurdles group accounts for 11 of the Longhorns’ entries and will have two athletes ranked among the top-6 in the 100, 200 and 400. Tyra Gittens will lead the field events with a pair of top-3 rankings of her own in the high jump and long jump.
Florida moved up two spots to No. 2 as the Gators are eyeing a sweep of the indoor and outdoor team titles. The Gators have 16 entries for the NCAA Championships with 12 of them residing in the top-10 on the seasonal leaderboard. Anna Hall (heptathlon) and Jasmine Moore (triple jump) are the top seeds in their events and are ranked in the top-3 in secondary events: Hall is No. 2 in the 400H; Moore is No. 3 in the long jump. The Gators have multiple athletes entered in the 400H (2), 800 (2), long jump (2) and triple jump (2) that could score big points, in addition to their 4×400 relay.
Texas A&M held steady at No. 3 and is in a good position to land on the podium at the end of competition. The Aggies have 13 entries for the NCAA Championships with 11 of them residing among the top-10 seasonally. Texas A&M has two national leaders in Charokee Young (400) and Lamara Distin (high jump), while Young will be featured on the Aggies’ second-ranked 4×400 relay. On paper, the Aggies have athletes in scoring positions in the 100H, 400, 400H, high jump, long jump and javelin, in addition to both relays.
Texas Tech dropped one spot to No. 4. The Red Raiders have 15 entries make it through to the final site as 11 of them are ranked among the top-10 seasonally. Monae’ Nichols is the top-seed in the long jump and is one of five entries the Red Raiders have in the horizontal jumps. On the track, Rosemary Chukwuma (100) and Demisha Roswell (100H) are ranked second in their respective events, while Seasons Usual is the third-seed in the discus to lead the throwers.
LSU will hold steady at No. 5 entering the NCAA Championships. The Tigers have 14 qualifiers for the final site, in which four of them are national leaders in their respective events: Alia Armstrong in the 100H; collegiate record-holder Favour Ofili in the 200; Katy-Ann McDonald in the 800; Lisa Gunnarsson in the pole vault. The Tigers could also see points in the 100, high jump and 4×100 relay.
Here are the rest of the top-10 teams in Week 10: No. 6 Arkansas, No. 7 Kentucky, No. 8 Baylor, No. 9 Oregon and No. 10 Colorado. The Buffaloes climbed two spots to match its season-best billing heading into the championship meet.
The 2022 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be held from June 8-11 at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon.
