

2022 NJCAA DIII Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Rating Index – Week 1
NEW ORLEANS – With outdoor season hitting full stride, the first edition of the NJCAA Division III Men’s Outdoor Track & Field National Track & Field Rating Index was released Wednesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
No marks from previous seasons have been used, which means this objective list is compiled solely of current marks from the 2022 indoor and outdoor track & field seasons.

Mineral Area (Mo.) begins the year at No. 1. The Cardinals have 15 top-5 marks, including a pair of national leaders in Kyle Vinyard (5000 at 16:03.63) and Jacob Arnold (10,000 at 33:11.96).
Rowan-Gloucester (N.J.) CC is No. 2 and ties for the lead of top-5 marks with 15. The Roadrunners have the nation’s fastest 400 hurdler in Giorgio Bruno at 62.17.
Defending champion College of DuPage (Ill.) is No. 3. The Chaps have nine top-5 marks including a pair of national-leading efforts from Josh Rivers – 1.90m/6-2 ¾ in the high jump and 6.78m/22-3 in the long jump.
No. 4 Hudson Valley (N.Y.) CC has six top-5 marks that includes the fastest 100 meters at 10.75 by the Vikings’ Charles Benichoux.
Thaddeus Stevens (Pa.) is No. 5. The Bulldogs have six top-5 marks, and half of them are national leaders by Joshua Deveaux (400 at 50.74), Levi Mayer (shot put 14.68m/48-2) and Joshua Gibson (javelin at 53.58m/175-10).
The remainder of the top-10 teams in the national TFRI: No. 6 Howard (Md.) CC, No. 7 Monroe-Bronx (N.Y.), No. 8 St. Charles (Mo.) CC, No. 9 Queensborough (N.Y.) CC and No. 10 Harper (Ill.).
The season culminates on May 12-14, when the 2022 NJCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships are scheduled at Hudson Valley (N.Y.) CC’s Outdoor Athletic Complex in Troy, New York.
