

2022 NJCAA DIII Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Rating Index – Week 1
NEW ORLEANS – Outdoor action was joined Wednesday by the debut of the 2022 NJCAA Division III Women’s Outdoor Track & Field National Track & Field Rating Index, released by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
No marks from previous seasons have been used, which means this objective list is compiled solely of current marks from the 2022 indoor and outdoor track & field seasons.

Rowan-Gloucester (N.J.) CC opens up as No. 1 thanks to an impressive 18 top-5 marks. No less than 14 of the Roadrunners’ leading efforts come in field events, led by national triple jump leader Dreana Algarin at 9.68m/31-9¼.
No. 2 Mineral Area (Mo.) has three national leaders among the Cardinals’ 10 top-5 marks – Laine Cottrell in the 400 (64.69), Haley Hernandez in the 5000 (20:07.16) and the 4×100 relay team (54.41).
College of DuPage (Ill.), the defending national champion, is No. 3. The Chaps have 11 top-5 marks and three national-leading athletes in Kiara Carter (200 at 26.74), Lillan Buzani (1500 at 5:01.22) and Mya Mangan (pole vault at 3.15m/10-4).
Hudson Valley (N.Y.) CC follows at No. 4 and has six top-5 marks. The Vikings have a pair of athletes rated No. 2 – Lia Soares (100 at 13.57) and Antonia Brancato (200 at 27.35).
No. 5 Harper (Ill.) has six top-5 marks, with three of those giving the Hawks national leaders. Samira Rosenfeld owns two (high jump at 1.59m/5-0½ and long jump at 4.79m/15-8¾), while Fiona Metzo has the other (800 at 2:28.86).
Completing the top-10 teams in the national TFRI are No. 6 Camden County (N.J.), No. 7 Finger Lakes (N.Y.) CC, No. 8 Mohawk Valley (N.Y.) CC, No. 9 St. Charles (Mo.) CC and No. 10 Middlesex County (N.J.).
All of the teams are targeting May 12-14, when the 2022 NJCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships are scheduled at Hudson Valley (N.Y.) CC’s Outdoor Athletic Complex in Troy, New York.
