

2022 NJCAA DIII Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Rating Index – Week 3
NEW ORLEANS – Week 3 finds a new No. 1 – College of DuPage (Ill.) – atop the 2022 NJCAA Division III Women’s Outdoor Track & Field National Track & Field Rating Index, released Wednesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
No marks from previous seasons have been used, which means this objective list is compiled solely of current marks from the 2022 indoor and outdoor track & field seasons.

As defending champions – and season-long No. 1 in last year’s ratings – College of DuPage (Ill.) is no stranger to being in the lead. The Chaps improved to having 17 top-5 marks which now includes five national leaders, with Lillan Buzani owning two of them (1500 at 5:01.22 and 5000 at 19:11.95). Also pacing the nation are Kiara Carter (400 at 61.13), Mya Mangan (3.25m/10-8 in the pole vault) and the 4×400 relay team (4:18.39).
Now at No. 2, Rowan-Gloucester (N.J.) CC can match DuPage in terms of top-5 marks with 17. The Roadrunners rate No. 2 in four events – Kara Knorr (hammer at 31.69m/104-0), Sabrina Baer (heptathlon at 2393) and the 4×400 and 4×800 relays (4:38.92 and 12:10.99, respectively).
Suffolk County (N.Y.) CC improved again, now at No. 3. The Sharks have 13 top-5 marks, including five national leaders – Oceane Ode (100 at 12.56 and 200 at 25.75), Jaimee Starzee (shot put at 11.02m/36-2), Angelina Guevara (heptathlon at 2670) and the 4×100 relay (50.33).
No. 4 Mineral Area (Mo.) has eight top-5 marks, including national leader Haley Hernandez (10,000 at 42:05.46).
No. 5 Harper (Ill.) CC returns to the top-5. The Hawks have seven top-5 marks and lead three events – two from Samira Rosenfeld (100 hurdles at 16.11, high jump at 1.65m/5-5) and another from Fiona Metzo (800 at 2:28.86).
Completing the top-10 teams in the national TFRI are No. 6 Hudson Valley (N.Y.) CC, No. 7 SUNY Broome CC, No. 8 Finger Lakes (N.Y.) CC, No. 9 Camden County (N.J.) and No. 10 Mohawk Valley (N.Y.) CC.
Just four weeks away are the 2022 NJCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships, scheduled for May 12-14 at Hudson Valley (N.Y.) CC’s Outdoor Athletic Complex in Troy, New York.
