

2022 NJCAA DIII Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Rating Index – Week 2
NEW ORLEANS – While there was plenty of position changes, Mineral Area (Mo.) remained on top of the Week 2 edition of the 2022 NJCAA Division III Men’s Outdoor Track & Field National Track & Field Rating Index, which was released Wednesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
No marks from previous seasons have been used, which means this objective list is compiled solely of current marks from the 2022 indoor and outdoor track & field seasons.

Mineral Area (Mo.) increased its lead at No. 1 to over 100 points. The Cardinals also increased its number of top-5 marks to 17 and now have three national leaders – Hunter Cary in both the 110 hurdles (15.51) and decathlon (5591), Jacob Arnold and Kyle Vinyard switched leadership in the 5000 (Arnold, 15:43.09) and 10,000 (Vinyard, 32:05.56).
Defending champion College of DuPage (Ill.) moves up one spot to No. 2. The Chaps improved its number of top-5 marks to 10 and now have three national-leading – two from Josh Rivers (1.90m/6-2¾ in the high jump and 6.80m/22-3¾ in the long jump) along with Ryan Rinella (3.95m/12-11½ in the pole vault).
Biggest mover in the top-10 is Finger Lakes (N.Y.) CC, up 11 to No. 3. The Lakers have eight top-5 marks including John Zimmerman, who leads the steeplechase at 10:44.45.
Rowan-Gloucester (N.J.) CC drops two positions to No. 4. The Roadrunners have seven top-5 marks, led by Giorgio Bruno, who tops the 400 hurdles at 60.76.
No. 5 Hudson Valley (N.Y.) CC is down one place even though the Vikings increased their number of top-5 marks to eight. In addition, Charles Benichoux now leads two events (100 at 10.75 and 200 at 22.08).
Completing the top-10 teams in the national TFRI are No. 6 Howard (Md.) CC, No. 7 St. Charles (Mo.) CC, No. 8 Monroe-Bronx (N.Y.), No. 9 Thaddeus Stevens (Pa.) and No. 10 Harper (Ill.).
The season culminates on May 12-14, when the 2022 NJCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships are scheduled at Hudson Valley (N.Y.) CC’s Outdoor Athletic Complex in Troy, New York.
