

2022 NJCAA DIII Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Rating Index – Week 4
NEW ORLEANS – Mineral Area (Mo.) reclaimed the No. 1 spot in the Week 4 edition of the 2022 NJCAA Division III Men’s Outdoor Track & Field National Track & Field Rating Index, which was released Wednesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Only marks from the 2022 indoor and outdoor track & field seasons have been used in this objective compilation.

Mineral Area (Mo.) is back at No. 1 after a week stay at No. 2. The Cardinals increased its number of top-5 marks to 18 – most in the nation – and have four national leaders – Hunter Cary in both the 110 hurdles (15.24w) and decathlon (5591), Jacob Arnold in the 5000 (15:43.09) and Kyle Vinyard in the 10,000 (32:05.56).
After being No. 1 last week, College of DuPage (Ill.) – defending team champion – drops to No. 2, just some seven points behind Mineral Area. The Chaps have 14 top-5 marks, with four of them being national leaders. Josh Rivers has two of the nation’s best (1.90m/6-2¾ in the high jump and 6.90m/22-7¾ in the long jump) while Anthony Eddy leads the 800 (1:58.80) and Ryan Rinella tops the pole vault (3.95m/12-11½).
Hudson Valley (N.Y.) CC remains at No. 3. The Vikings own six top-5 marks and a pair of national leaders courtesy of sprinter Charles Benichoux (100 at 10.75 and 200 at 22.08).
No. 4 continues to be Finger Lakes (N.Y.) CC. The Lakers have three top-5 marks, led by a pair who rate No. 3 – John Zimmerman (steeple, 10:44.45) and Memphis Lohnes (pole vault, 3.80m/12-5½).
Rowan-Gloucester (N.J.) CC is No. 5. The Roadrunners have seven top-5 marks, led by hammer leader Marques Hall (40.71m/133-7).
Completing the top-10 teams in the national TFRI are No. 6 Thaddeus Stevens (Pa.), No. 7 Harper (Ill.), No. 8 St. Charles (Mo.) CC, No. 9 Howard (Md.) CC and No. 10 Monroe-Bronx (N.Y.).
Just three weeks away are the 2022 NJCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships, scheduled for May 12-14 at Hudson Valley (N.Y.) CC’s Outdoor Athletic Complex in Troy, New York.
