Cross Country Polls & Rankings
Week 3 introduced a little bit of spice to the rankings’ recipe. The top-5 of No. 1 Colorado School of Mines, No. 2 Adams State, No. 3 Wingate, No. 4 Grand Valley State, and No. 5 Colorado Christian lived to see another day, however, that foundation is soon to be under fire from within. The Grizzlies and the Lakers are set for an epic showdown at the Live in the Lou Classic this Saturday in the Bluegrass State that will see the two juggernauts go head to head with No. 7 West Texas A&M and No. 9 Lee (Tenn.) also in the mix.
A bit further down the list lies perhaps the biggest headline of this edition: No. 18 Cedarville and No. 19 Walsh ascended a combined 18 positions. The Cavaliers posted a second place finish at the rainy Lock Haven Invitational, surpassing all but No. 16 Charleston (W.Va.) in the sea of Atlantic Region teams.
No. 8 Saginaw Valley State, No. 11 Western Colorado and No. 26 Augustana (S.D.) also improved their billing in Week 3.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 18, as the 2023 NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships will take place at the Tom Rutledge Cross Country Course in Joplin, Missouri!
