Cross Country Polls & Rankings
The top-5 of No. 1 Adams State, No. 2 Grand Valley State, No. 3 Colorado School of Mines, No. 4 Winona State, and No. 5 UC-Colorado Springs is quickly approaching the apex of change. The anticipation that has been building since the beginning of the season is set to reach its first benchmark this weekend at the Live in Lou Cross Country Classic. In a clash of the titans, the top-ranked Grizzlies, second-ranked Lakers, and fifth-ranked Mountain Lions should give the leaderboard quite a shake-up.
No. 8 Colorado Christian and No. 12 Chico State both surged up a spot. The Wildcats showed up and showed out at the Cougar Challenge, taking home the trophy by almost 40 points. With just three seconds of separation, sisters Della and Iresh Molina guided their squad to victory from the front of the pack.
No. 17 Lewis saw the largest jump, climbing four places after proving the rumors of depth to be true. A 34-second gap between scorers and finishing runner-up to NCAA DI No. 4 Notre Dame at the National Catholic Invite last weekend has the Flyers trending upward.
No. 14 Biola (Calif.), No. 21 Dallas Baptist, No. 25 Mississippi College, No. 27 West Texas A&M, and No. 29 Catawba also improved their billing in Week 3.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 18, as the 2023 NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships will take place at the Tom Rutledge Cross Country Course in Joplin, Missouri!
