Right behind the top-ranked team is No. 2 Grand Valley State, No. 3 Colorado School of Mines, No. 4 Winona State, and No. 5 UC-Colorado Springs. It won’t be long until the fireworks begin as the top-ranked Grizzlies, second-ranked Lakers, and fifth ranked Mountain Lions travel to Louisville, Kentucky to face off at the Live in Lou Cross Country Classic on September 30.
Augustana (S.D.) and Colorado Christian inched up a few positions to No. 8 and No. 9, respectfully. No. 11 Cedarville is now one spot away from cracking the top-10 after winning the All-Ohio Intercollegiate Challenge by a single point over NCAA Division I Akron. Hannah Rhem has established herself as a low stick for the Yellowjackets who’s 1-5 gap only continues to shrink. No. 18 Tampa advanced a whopping eight slots after nearly outright winning the Southern Stampede. The Spartans led the race in Joplin, MO after 4k, controlling the front of the pack before fading in the final stages.
