Cross Country Polls & Rankings
Taylor (Ind.) usurped Milligan (Tenn.) as the No. 1 team in the nation following an action-packed weekend. The Trojans posted a resounding victory at the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge, winning by 80 points over one of the best fields assembled this season. The Buffs also topped the podium – their triumph at the NAIA Appalachian Challenge – but it wasn’t deemed to be as impressive as Taylor (Ind.)’s.
Saint Mary (Kan.) held steady at No. 3 following a runner-up finish at the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge.
The Master’s (Calif.) improved one spot from No. 5 to No. 4 after finishing as the top collegiate team at the John Elders Titan Invitational.
Cornerstone (Mich.) jumped two spots from No. 7 to No. 5 thanks to a third-place effort at the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge.
Here are the rest of the top-10 teams in Week 4: No. 6 St. Francis (Ill.), No. 7 College of Idaho, No. 8 Dordt (Iowa), No. 9 Huntington (Ind.) and No. 10 Westmont (Calif.).
Mark you calendars for Friday, November 18, because that’s when the 2022 NAIA Cross Country Championships will be held at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, Florida.
