SCAD Atlanta (Ga.) overtook Madonna (Mich.) for the No. 1 spot in the national index after a strong effort both this past weekend at the Royal XC Challenge and a few weeks ago at the Louisville Classic.
The Bees finished eighth out of 61 teams at the Royal XC Challenge just a few days ago and beat a number of NCAA Division II and NAIA programs, while they actually beat the Crusaders head-to-head 419-435 in the Louisville Classic.
Madonna (Mich.) fell to No. 2, right ahead of College of Idaho, which remained at No. 3 for the second week in a row.
St. Francis (Ill.) leapfrogged Taylor (Ind.) into the No. 4 spot, forcing the Trojans to round out the top-5 at No. 5. Just a few weeks ago, the Saints finished runner-up in the Blue 5K Race at the Louisville Classic.
No team climbed more spots than Rocky Mountain (Mont.). The Battlin’ Bears roared their way to the No. 13 ranking this week after coming in at No. 21 last time out.
