

2021 NCAA DIII Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Rating Index – Week 6
NEW ORLEANS – It’s the final month of the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field season!
A busy weekend meant notable changes to the most recent edition of the NCAA DIII Men’s Outdoor Track & Field National Rating Index, which was released on Tuesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Wartburg is the No. 1 team during the outdoor season for the first time in program history. The Knights turned in a plethora of solid performances this past weekend that resulted in six new or improved national top-10 marks: Dallas Wright is No. 2 in the 400 at 47.39; Matt Heinzman is No. 3 in the 1500 at 3:50.15; Christopher Collett and Curren Matthais are now both ranked in the top-10 of the steeplechase at No. 4 and No. 8, respectively; Deyton Love is up to No. 4 in the 110H at 14.44; the 4×100 relay is now ranked third nationally at 40.97.
UW-La Crosse dropped one spot to No. 2 to no fault of its own. The Eagles chipped in three new or improved national top-10 marks, including an overall national lead in the 4×100 relay at 40.48. UW-La Crosse is also strong in the 4×400 relay, coming in ranked sixth at 3:14.02.
Rowan jumped four spots from No. 7 to No. 3 in Week 6. The Profs added six new or improved national top-10 marks to their ledger this past weekend, including the top-2 seasonal efforts in the long jump thanks to the duo of Nana Agyemang (No. 1, 7.54m/24-9) and Ahmir Johnson (No. 2, 7.48m/24-6½). Jah’Mere Beasley helped himself to a pair of top-6 marks in the sprints – No. 2 in the 200 (21.18) and No. 6 in the 100 (10.60).
UW-Oshkosh moved up two spots between Week 5 and Week 6. The Titans recorded two national top-10 marks this past weekend, including the No. 2 effort in the triple jump from Jonathan Wilburn at 15.05m (49-4½) and the fourth-ranked 4×400 relay squad at 3:12.79.
John Carroll helped its cause with three new or improved national top-10 marks. The fifth-ranked Blue Streaks got the second-best time of the season out of Garrett Clark in the 100 (10.56), the sixth-best time out of the 4×100 relay squad (41.34) and the 10th-best effort in the 200 from Deven Ward (21.59).
Here are the rest of the top-10 teams in Week 6: No. 6 UW-Eau Claire, No. 7 UW-Stout, No. 8 Mount Union, No. 9 Loras and No. 10 UW-Whitewater.
The 2021 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be held May 27-29 at the Irwin Belk Track on the campus of North Carolina A&T University in Greensboro.
