2022 NCAA DII Women’s Cross Country Regional Rankings – Week 4
NEW ORLEANS – The season is heating up!
Here is the newest edition of the NCAA Division II Women’s Cross Country Regional Rankings for the 2022 season, as released by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Tuesday afternoon.
Regional Rankings are determined subjectively by a single member coach in each respective region. The regional representative is tasked with weighing returning teams’ strength with current season results (if applicable) in determining a rank-order of squad potential. Only USTFCCCA member programs are eligible to receive a ranking. Teams with provisional status within the region may be ranked.
Regional Championships Saturday is set for Saturday, November 19.
Atlantic Region
Projected AQs: No. 1 Charleston (W.Va.), No. 2 Slippery Rock, No. 3 Seton Hill
Also in the Hunt: No. 4 Lock Haven, No. 5 Edinboro
Note: Slippery Rock leapfrogged Seton Hill in Week 4. The Rock, who is now ranked No. 2, beat former No. 2 Seton Hill (now No. 3) by five points at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational.
Central Region
Projected AQs: No. 1 Augustana (S.D.), No. 2 Minnesota Duluth, No. 3 Winona State
Also in the Hunt: No. 4 Pittsburg State, No. 5 Minnesota State
Note: Minnesota State soared from NR to No. 5 in Week 4. The Mavericks placed second at the Lucian Rosa Invitational and topped four programs that are nationally-ranked or receiving votes.
East Region
Projected AQs: No. 1 Southern New Hampshire, No. 2 Daemen, No. 3 Saint Anselm
Also in the Hunt: No. 4 Roberts Wesleyan, No. 5 Southern Connecticut
Midwest Region
Projected AQs: No. 1 Grand Valley State, No. 2 Cedarville, No. 3 Lewis
Also in the Hunt: No. 4 Wayne State (Mich.), No. 5 Saginaw Valley State
South Region
Projected AQs: No. 1 Lee (Tenn.), No. 2 Tampa, No. 3 Palm Beach Atlantic
Also in the Hunt: No. 4 Mississippi College, No. 5 Saint Leo
Note: Palm Beach Atlantic jumped from No. 6 to No. 3 for their best ranking in program history. The Sailfish beat No. 5 Saint Leo at the FSU Invitational and have two low sticks in Laura Georgelin and Madelyn Rodriguez.
South Central Region
Projected AQs: No. 1 Adams State, No. 2 Colorado School of Mines, No. 3 UC-Colorado Springs
Also in the Hunt: No. 4 Dallas Baptist, No. 5 Western Colorado
Southeast Region
Projected AQs: No. 1 Wingate, No. 2 Flagler, No. 3 North Georgia
Also in the Hunt: No. 4 Anderson (S.C.), No. 5 Catawba
Note: Anderson (S.C.) and Catawba climbed up the leaderboard after finishing ahead of former No. 4 Lenoir-Rhyne (now No. 6) at the Royals Challenge.
West Region
Projected AQs: No. 1 Cal State Stanislaus, No. 2 Chico State, No. 2 Biola (Calif.)
